Memphis, Tenn. (June 3, 2019) — Earlier this spring, the Stuttering Foundation launched Virtual Learning by Stuttering Foundation, a free online series of interactive workshops with a variety of offerings for speech-language pathologists, parents, and individuals who stutter.

The online series includes monthly offerings ranging from clinical training opportunities, to parent education, to a platform for people who stutter of all ages to share their stories. Sessions are moderated by many of the world’s leading clinicians, researchers, and self-help advocates—bringing learning and collaboration to you.

The inaugural program received interest from more than 200 participants while the subsequent program included registrants from across the globe.

“Our first program was a big hit from the start, and our second program, ‘Partnering with Parents’ included participants from 11 different countries, including Bangladesh, Israel, New Zealand and Peru,” said Sara MacIntyre, M.A., CCC-SLP, the Foundation’s Workshop Coordinator. “Clearly, there is a need for this type of interactive engagement workshop.”

Planning for future programming is underway, and a schedule of workshops may be found at: https://www.stutteringhelp.org/Virtuallearning.
